Illustration-Plein Air with Professor Nature

I'm in the throws of finishing three illustrations before I head down to Spring City for their plein air event.  I love painting in both genres, illustration and plein air.  The old illustrators painted plein air.  They were painters.  I realize that causes heartburn in some circles :)  I digress...The plein air helps my illustrations to be more believable; just like life figure painting.  It all helps and all a must-(for my development anyway).   To paraphrase Robert Henri, he mentioned that the model is the best teacher.  All the information is there.  I feel that way about nature as well.  I'm venturing out to Nature U.

Right now I'm off to teach a couple of indoor classes... I'll sleep next week...
