Santa Knows...at BDAC

These two Christmas oils are in the Bountiful/Davis Art Center's Holiday Show.  What a nice Holiday surprise for me to see the Santa image reproduced in addition to having both mentioned in the Davis County Clipper newspaper.

The second to last paragraph reads:

There’s even a touch of Christmas in the exhibit, thanks to two works by Robert McKay. One is of a ruminative Santa Claus and the other is of tiny, poinsettia -backed glass ornaments, and both are like rich, lushly textured presents wrapped up in tiny, jewel-toned boxes. They’re like little fantasy presents, right there for anyone to open.

BODY WORLDS 3 SKETCH NIGHT

The Leonardo Museum, in Salt Lake City, is hosting the exhibit Body Worlds 3.  Plastination, a preservation method invented in 1977 by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, preserves the bodies.   Artists have opportunities on sketch nights to draw studies of the figures with live models. They took photos of the artists sketching.
Here I am at the top of their blog page drawing my first study.  I sketched two that night.
