David Hawkinson, owner
Hawkinson Photography and
Terra Nova Gallery, came up with this catchy phrase and great idea..."Tidbit Tuesday". On Tuesdays he features paintings with "tidbits" of information from the artist.
Here's today's tidbit:
The interior in
Carnation is a room on the second floor of my great-grandfather's home built around 1870. It is the David McKay home, birthplace of David O. McKay, historically registered in Huntsville, Utah.
The one-armed chair depicted was a gift from my grandfather to my grandmother. He bought it for her because he thought that she loved it and she kept it because she thought that he loved it. Years later, it was discovered that they both disliked it.
